Chew on this...

Last night I dreamed I ate a ten-pound marshmallow, and when I woke up the pillow was gone.

One Big Weekend

Friday: See some friends' soccer game, then back to my place for dinner and card games. (This was a first for my place here in Colorado, so I was pretty pumped about having people over.)

Saturday: Help a friend move to a new apartment, then fly my kite in terrible, unstable, Colorado mountain wind, then off to the Hyperstatic Union/David Crowder/Third Day show downtown with friends. That was absolutely awesome. All three bands were great but David Crowder won the night for me.

Sunday: I was introduced as a new member to Bear Valley Church in the morning service. In the afternoon I went to the first church orchestra rehearsal of the season and met a bunch of great people for the most part above my age bracket. I'll be seated next to a very cool 86-year-old baritone player. :)

Shadows Prove the Sunshine

The sun is back and the bad news of last week undid itself, but I feel my spirits back up independently of both. The movie Office Space together with a nice, long, rainy walk of getting lost and then unlost put life in a better perspective. If you want to know about it, buy me a coffee and I'll be glad to share. :)

PETER: "I realized that we don't have a lot of time on this earth. We weren't meant to spend it this way. Human beings weren't meant to sit in little cubicles, staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about mission statements."

Melancholy Day

A double helping of rainy, cloudy days, plus some sad news yesterday and no plans for today make for a melancholy mood.
