I was born in North Carolina but moved to Iowa when I was 8 years old, so I consider myself more of an Iowan than anything else. I went to college at Iowa State University and then at the University of Porto (Portugal) for my Master's. (See more details in my resumé.) Now I work for Peak Power Engineering, Inc. in Golden, Colorado.

In February of 2009 I was married to my best friend and greatest encourager, Holly. It is my joy and privilege to be joined with her as "one flesh" as we pursue the Lord together. My experience confirms Prov 18:22 and Prov 31:10.

I love Jesus and as try to let him be the one that directs my life. My favorite Bible passage is Philippians 3:7-14. God has blessed me with many, many things in my life, but they all stack up as nothing compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ, God's greatest gift of all.
